| While MSBA began as a "Mississippi" association, in 2009 MSBA can boast approximately 1200 members. MSBA has active members in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Arizona, Georgia, Virginia, Missouri, and Pennsylvania, Vermont and Kentucky. There are now approximately 30 Magnolia State Bluegrass Association, Inc Bands We are a very active group of bluegrass pickers, singers and fans with activities year-round. MSBA cooperates with other Bluegrass Associations in the surrounding states for maximum effectiveness. |
| It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform the MSBA of the passing of Peggie Stringer. Peggie and Johnnie Stringer have been long time Bluegrass supporters and promote the Spring and Fall Legends of Country and Bluegrass Show held at the Columbia Expo center in Columbia, MS. |
